• Guidance on standardized testing including the SAT I, SAT II, ACT, and THEA
• Suggestions for high school course selection and extracurricular activities
• College matching based on the strengths, needs, and interests of each student
• Assistance in scheduling campus visits
• Career testing and interpretation using the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator
• College major suggestions and career information
• Management and organization of the entire application process, including essay writing and meeting deadlines
• Assistance with scholarship applications
• Guidance on the final college decision and first-year course selection
• Presentations on various college admissions topics for local student and parent groups

Current high school and college students are overwhelmed by the increasing complexity of the college admission/transfer process and need individual assistance to avoid wasting time, losing expensive college hours, and spending unnecessary time in a major ill designed to help them achieve their full potential. High school counselors, although well qualified to help, have caseloads of 450/1 or higher and do not have the time to assist students on a one-to-one basis.

My passion is and always has been career guidance. As a high school counselor I was willing to work late hours to get "paperwork" done if it meant I made time during the school day to help a young man or woman do some initial investigation into choosing a college, major, or job path.

Colleges to Careers was founded as a vehicle to assist students and their parents on a one to one basis as they plan for high school, college and beyond. Consulations are available for an hourly fee and the assessment package utilizing Myers Briggs and the Strong Interest Inventory provides the client with hands on useful information.

My caseload in not 500/1, it is usually 5/1. My goal is to be of lifetime assistance for any student as they begin the lifelong journey of a happy and successful life. Students and their families do not have time for the intensive research required in the college selection/major process. Please allow me to help. I look forward to working with your family.
