Cheri Ustinoff, M. Ed.

Cheri Ustinoff founded Colleges to Careers in 2008 to assist life long learners as they plan for high school, college, and the world of work.  Ms Ustinoff is a licensed professional counselor who assisted students at Kingwood High School for the last ten years.  She has experience as a private practice clinician, high school English teacher, assistant principal and career and technology counselor.  She was the first high school counselor chosen by Lone Star College Kingwood for a summer mentor program to help assist students with the transition from high school to college and continued as a part time college advisor for six years at that institution.  Ms Ustinoff was chosen as a grader for the writing portion of the new SAT and now serves on the advisory board for the Esprit International School of the Woodlands.

Ms Ustinoff is committed to maintaining a small client to counselor ratio to give students and families the individual attention they need but are often unable to receive in high schools where counselors often have caseloads of over 400.  Ms Ustinoff’s career in education has provided her with the skills needed to help students in all areas of high school, college and career planning.

Ms Ustinoff received her Bachelors of Arts in English and Masters in Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  She is a certified Mid Management Administrator, Vocational Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor.  She is a member of the Texas Counseling Association.
